Umpire Registration & Clinics
Registration Instructions - OPEN FOR 2025
Step 1:
Please read the detailed registration instructions HERE. This will help you to easily and successfully register as an umpire.
Step 2:
You must register and pay through your RAMP account.
Step 3:
Attend your in-person clinic (strongly recommended for new and less experienced umpires) or take the online training modules below.
Step 4:
Take the exam at the clinic that you attend in 2025, or within 2 weeks of registering online. After you have registered, paid, and attended your clinic, visit the National Exam Information for more details.
Note: You do NOT need to take the exam prior to registering as an umpire.
Levels & Registration Fee Structure

Softball Canada 2024/2025 Rulebook:
- For those who require a rulebook, you must pay for it as part of your registration. The book will be mailed out or provided to you at your in-person clinic.
In-Person Clinic Dates & Locations - OPEN FOR 2025
Important: You MUST preregister AS AN UMPIRE before attending an in-person clinic!
- To register: Log in to your RAMP account and register as an "OFFICIAL" (Umpire).
- During the registration process, select a clinic from the dropdown menu.
- Clinics end AROUND 3:00 PM.
- Bring an electronic device to take the National Exam at the clinic.
