Softball Saskatchewan, in accordance with Sask Sport, require that all Activity Leaders of youth obtain their Respect in Sport Certification. If you lead youth of any age and in any activity, you are an Activity Leader. Note: Activity Leader certification differs from Parent certification.

Note: you can link your Respect in Sport account to your NCCP account. Ensure you enter your NCCP number into your profile and ensure both profiles have the same email address to link them. This will make confirming your RiS certification much easier and finding your number much faster.
The Respect in Sport curriculum consists of eight modules and takes approximately three hours to complete. It can be completed in one or multiple sittings. There is no examination component. Once the course has been completed, a certificate verifying completion is generated. Coaches completing the Respect in Sport certification will be tracked through the Respect in Sport database and each sport will have access to this database to determine if their registered coaches have completed the course. Coaches will need to complete the course once every five years or less, depending on mandates from National Sport Organizations, even if they coach in multiple sports.
